Tonight's Domythic style...Bohemian! Some may call this junk... me, I call them treasures. (Okay, I've been playing too much Skyrim)

Warning: Do not attempt this style if you are afraid of a) clutter or b) color!
A great example of a Domythic Bohemian house is my friend, artist Merle Pace. See more of her beautiful home here, and check out her amazing self-portrait photography prints on Etsy.

I hate to tell you this, but that link for your artist friends house? Its all kinda messed up. It takes you to a main flickr page-generic sign in for the whole website. This is not an individuals website.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I LOVE that first one! I so wish I could convince The Boy that he really wants to let me do something like this to our room. Sadly, I suspect that I will have to keep my Bohemian decorating tendencies isolated to my car and my work-room...when we finally manage to get back on our feet and into our own place again, that is. So pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's so strange...the link seems to work for me, but perhaps because I have a Flickr account? :/ Not sure what to do there.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I'd love to see those spaces!
ReplyDeletewowza indeed-love, love, love the other spaces. thanks for posting that last image of my living room-i love that photo because all of my blues and greens are coming through and Pascal is on top of the "Cat Theatre"!
ReplyDeletei tried to see if the flickr link worked for me, and it didn't. i have a flick account, of course, and it is public so everyone should be able to see it. i will try to see what i can do.
thanks so much for my etsy link! i take many photographs in my bohemian home(what i will try to call it now)-love the natural light i and lots of junk, i mean TREASURES, to work with!
thanks again grace!
So much wonderful inspiration! Thank you. X
ReplyDeleteWe went to Morocco last year and this really reminds me of that North African style - I really love it - all the colour reminds me of the piles of herbs and spices in the markets. We've just ordered an outdoor sofa for the garden and I want to make - over the decking area in a Moroccan style. I need to consider how to introduce the colour!
ReplyDeleteThanks Merle! I don't know what I did wrong with your link...I hope we can fix it!
ReplyDeleteEarthangelsarts, thank you!
Kim, oh how wonderful! I would love to go there someday :) And I'd love to see that garden paradise when it's done!
I'm starting to work on the car, so I'll make sure to post pictures when I've got it presentable. :D
ReplyDeletePlease do :)
