A Tudor in Carmel
Well the blog has been quiet, but the Facebook group still posts! Today Kellie posted about Comstock's cottages, which in turn had me seeking out information about Carmel-by-the-Sea again (I can never get enough of that place) which in turn brought me to the wonderful Once Upon a Time blog, where a resident of Carmel walks around her city and often gets tours inside the fairy tale homes of its residents.
Recently, the blogger shared a house that was so gorgeously mythic not only in style but in interior decor. I highly recommend you drool ov.....I mean read...this post.
More soon! Apologies for my absence. I have a very hard time keeping my mind and myself indoors right now.

A House Near Hundred Acre Wood
I've been remiss. To be honest, I've had a bit of writer's block, combined with multiple distractions. But I miss you all! I'm working on a new series of posts, but in the mean time, here is A.A. Milne's real childhood home, for sale.

Tiny World Terrariums
My newest Domythic book I can recommend is Tiny World Terrariums. I got this book from the library, and it's quite inspirational! As you already know, I'm a sucker for displays behind glass, and the enchantment behind these miniature worlds blows me away. The variety of mosses create terrain and landscape. And the book gives you extremely helpful instruction on how to do it.

Magic Alfresco
It all started with this image from the incredible Spoutwood Faerie Festival this past weekend. The event is held yearly, is incredibly mythic and magical, and this little location just screamed magical calm sanctuary to me.
Add to that the fact that I've been unable to keep my mind indoors, as I mentioned, and the fact that our wonderful tree in the backyard has been taunting me to host a fancy tea party under it ever since we moved in, and...well...you may see where I'm going.

There's hardly a thing outdoors that seems more Domythic to me than romantic dining in nature. One major goal of interior Domythic decor is to bring the magic of nature indoors. So of course it makes sense that it would also be magical to try to create a cozy and domestic space in nature.

Enter the Garden
Well I warned you all...spring has definitely arrived, and my mind is having a hard time staying *inside* the walls of the house. All I want to think about is the garden.
We're hoping to put up an arbor in our side yard soon and cover it with fast growing vines. So I wanted to share a compilation of images of garden gates and arbors.
